The Heart Behind Whimsical Craftyard

Hi, I’m Ashley — the heart and hands behind Whimsical Craftyard. Every piece you see here is created slowly, thoughtfully, and with a whole lot of love, right here in my little creative space..

“I’ve always believed that light is a gift — and every time I watch sunlight dance through crystals and prisms, it feels like a tiny glimpse of heaven.”

How Whimsical Craftyard Began

I’ve been a crafter for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked with many different mediums over the years, but I always found myself drawn to the things that sparkle and shine. Crystals, glass, prisms, and beads always felt a little more magical to me.

For a long time, I created all kinds of different crafts — including resin tumblers and many other projects. But over time, I realized my heart kept coming back to glass and beadwork. There’s something special about the way light moves through a suncatcher or dances across a strand of crystals.

That’s when Whimsical Craftyard began to take shape — not just as a craft business, but as a place where light, color, and imagination come together to create something meaningful and beautiful.

Why the Enchanted Threadlings Exist

The Enchanted Threadlings started as a simple idea: what if a beaded spider could be more than just a decoration?

I wanted to create something that felt personal — something that carried meaning, story, and heart. Each Threadling is designed not just to be beautiful, but to feel like a tiny companion, a keepsake, or a gentle guardian for your space.

Every Threadling is created with a story in mind, and each one comes with its own story card, certificate of craftsmanship, and photo card to match its unique theme. Rather than simply buying a spider, you’re adopting a little character with a story of its own.

Inspired by Faith and Light

Because of my faith, I’ve always seen something deeper in the way light moves through crystals and prisms. When sunlight catches a suncatcher and fills a room with tiny rainbows, it feels like a small glimpse of heaven — a quiet reminder of beauty, hope, and wonder.

Every piece I create is inspired by that light — and by the belief that even small, simple things can bring comfort, joy, and a little bit of peace into someone’s day.
